NAIFA is a proud member of the Coalition for Equity in Wholesaling (CEW), a group founded by Equitable to increase the number of diverse professionals in the role of insurance wholesaler. Wholesalers play an important role by building relationships with insurance and financial advisors and providing them with insurance and investment products that meet the specific needs of consumers. These partnerships are key to ensuring that all Americans have access to insurance and financial products, services, and advice. 

The initial focus of the coalition is the Black community, but it will expand to include other diverse communities as its work continues. The CEW actively works to attract diverse talent into wholesaling, retain diverse talent through advancement, develop a diverse wholesaler talent pool, and provide networking opportunities to current or prospective wholesalers.  

Through awareness, education, mentoring, and networking, the CEW opens the door to a rewarding career for underrepresented communities. The range of experiences and perspectives these new wholesalers can bring will lead to a stronger, more successful industry.
